East Lansing’s Play in the Park

Play in the Park, an interactive children’s entertainment series, has become a tradition in East Lansing. Children and their families can bring a picnic, blanket and/or lawn chair and enjoy family friendly entertainment in a beautiful park setting.

Play in the Park takes place in Valley Court Park, 280 Valley Court, at 7 p.m. on all five Tuesdays in July. It’s free! *Canceled in the event of rain or severe weather.

July 2: Karen Bonnici- Bonnici combines music and stories to create a unique storytelling performance that will teach, engage and encourage audiences of all ages.)

July 9: NASA Space Food- Eating in space presents unique challenges for astronauts. Why? No gravity! Hear about the fascinating history of space food with music, magic, juggling and more!

July 16: Zeke the Wonderdog- An MSU football game favorite is making his way to Play in the Park! Zeke the Wonderdog is an agile, frisbee-catching entertainer that leaves audiences amazed by his tricks.

July 23: Baffling Bill the Magician- For more than 30 years, Baffling Bill the Magician has been amazing audiences with his magic shows that are filled with comedy, illusions and his partner, Gus the Bunny.

July 30: Greg Lester’s Puppet Adventures- This Michigan-based touring theatre brings its ensemble of hand-crafted puppets to put on an engaging, entertaining show for audiences of all ages.
