Learn517: Form & Function in Michigan Architecture
Thursday, December 26, 2019
1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
During this month’s LEARN517 program at the Michigan History Center, explore the theme of “Architecture” through the lens of Michigan history. Learn about notable Michigan structures – like the Capitol building and the Mackinac Bridge were designed with certain functions in mind. Then, participate in a design challenge and come up with your own building or structure!
Admission for LEARN517 at the Michigan History Center is $5/student, $4/adult and advance registration is not required. Just stop in! Please plan to arrive as close to 1:30pm as possible to ensure that your student can experience the entire program.
Experience dynamic learning environments through LEARN517, a homeschool partnership program that explores a monthly theme through the disciplines of art, science, nature, and history. Each program partner hosts a 1:30-3 p.m. program once a month, on Thursdays. Programs are designed for learners ages 6-11. Learn more at Michigan.gov/MHC
