The entire city will glow with thousands of lights for the Silver Bells in the City celebration, bringing together family and friends from across the state of Michigan and beyond to kick-off the holiday season.
Silver Bells in the City is a Lansing tradition that is loved by generations of families. Silver Bells in the City attracts over 80,000 people to the Capital City each year and takes place annually on the Friday before Thanksgiving in Lansing, Michigan.
23rd Annual Electric Light Parade (Steps off at 6:00 pm- Corner at Lenawee and S. Washington Sq.)
Bring the whole family to enjoy the Electric Light Parade. More than 80 units all decked out with thousands of lights, high school marching bands, horse drawn carriages, the arrival of Santa and more!
Lighting Of The Official State Christmas Tree (Approximately 7:35 pm)
The tree lighting takes place in front of the State Capitol.
Fireworks (Approximately 7:45 pm)
A spectacular fireworks display will cascade over the Capitol dome following the Community Sing.
