Tales to Tails Reading Program
Monday, February 17, 2020
12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Reading helps shy and fearful dogs and cats to learn to relax and socialize with people? It helps to teach high-energy dogs that calm behavior is desirable. When children tell stories to the shelter pets, it also helps them develop their reading skills.
Children ages 5-14 are welcome to participate in this program. CAHS provides a variety of animal-themed books and seat cushions. However, children are welcome to bring their own books from home. A parent/guardian must accompany each reader and remain with the child at all times. Please note that space is limited.
There is no fee for Tales to Tails, but pre-registration is required. We do encourage children to bring a small donation, such as soft dog treats, a cat toy, or an adjustable dog or cat collar. Participants must wear closed-toed shoes while participating in the Tales to Tails Reading Program.
