Concerts in the Park – Lansing’s Guide to Musical Entertainment this Summer

Summer in the greater Lansing area means free music in the park nearly every week, with outdoor concerts bringing together local bands, families, and neighbors for live performances, community connection, and relaxed evenings outdoors.

These events often coincide with markets and feature food vendors, lawn seating, and activities for all ages, making music in the park a Lansing-area seasonal tradition.

Tuesdays

Delta Township	Sharp Park	7 PM	May 18, June 15, July 20	Enjoy three relaxing summer concerts with family, friends, and neighbors—just bring a chair or blanket and settle in on the ball diamond. It’s the perfect way to unwind and soak up a laid-back evening together. Free.

Wednesdays

Meridian Township	Marketplace on the Green	6:30 PM	June 3, 10, 17, 24; July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; August 5, 12, 19, 26; September 2, 9, 16, 23, 30	Enjoy free live music from local bands as part of the Summer Concert Series, running alongside the Wednesday Farmers’ Market. The market takes place from 3 to 7 PM.
City of Lansing	Various Locations	7 PM	June 10, 17, 24; July 8, 15, 22, 29; August 5	Free live music beginning at 7 PM. Bring a chair or blanket. Concerts rotate through various parks in the Lansing area. See link under Location for more information.
St. Johns	City Park	7 PM	June 17, 24; July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; August 5, 12, 19, 26; September 2	Concerts are held at the William E. Tennant Performance Shell. They are free to attend, rain or shine, with donations gratefully accepted.

Mason	Ingham County Courthouse Front Step	6:30 PM	May 21; June 11, 25; July 9, 23; August 13, 27; September 17	Free, family-friendly concerts featuring local music, food, and community gathering.
DeWitt	Riverside Park	7 PM	July 16, 23, 30; August 6	Great music, great food, and weekly raffle prizes. Bring a blanket or chair.
Grand Ledge	Jaycee Park	7 PM	June 18, 25; July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; August 6, 13	Bring your friends and a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the concert. Food concessions will be available onsite, along with access to a new playground and splash pad. So don’t forget a towel!
Holt	Veterans Memorial Gardens	7 PM	July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30	Bring your friends and family, enjoy food from a local food truck, and settle in for a night of music, fun, and community.
Owosso	Mitchell Amphitheater	7 PM	July 9, 16, 23, 30; August 6	Five free concerts at the Mitchell Amphitheater in downtown Owosso. Enjoy live music and community fun all summer long.
