#4 BrickHaven
Address: 200 E Jefferson St, Grand Ledge, MI 48837 |
This unique location was once home to the old City Hall and St. Micheals Church in Grand Ledge. That in itself is fun, but their special sodas make it extra fun for the kids.
Kid Points: small batch sodas, live music, special events.
#3 Looking Glass Brewing Company
Address: 115 N Bridge St, Dewitt, MI 48820 |
Looking glass is a great option for a couple of reasons. They turned an old church into a brewery which is rad in my book, coming from Oregon where McMinimens rules (great places to go if you’re ever in the area). Looking Glass takes things to a really fun family-friendly level. They have family game nights every Sunday. You’ll find their events listed on our calendar.
On Tap: 20 taps including 12-16 beers + cider and seasonal wines.
Kid Points: Family game nights, games and coloring options while eating, great food, unique atmosphere.
#2 Lansing Brewing Company
Address: 518 E Shiawassee St, Lansing, MI 48912 |
If you haven’t already spent time hanging out at Lansing Brewing Company – you’ll want to plan a date. It’s like a fun oasis.

#1 Dark Horse Brewing Co.
Address: 511 S Kalamazoo Ave, Marshall, MI 49068 |
Topping our list at the #1 position is Dark Horse Brewery in Marshall because of their outdoor play area for kids! You’ll love the vibe here, it’s as they say “where the cool kids hang.” See ya there. #youngatheart

Honorary “Spirits” Pick: Uncle John’s Cider Mill
Uncle John’s is a kid land haven, but it’s also home to a delicious wine and hard cider bar!
