Ready to do some fruit picking? There are many places around the Greater Lansing area where you can find u pick fruit orchards, farms, and fields.
U Pick Fruit: Strawberries
Picking U Pick strawberries straight from the ground is one of my most fond memories each summer. Some farms will ask you to taste test so you know which type of strawberry you’d like to take home.
If you haven’t done this yet, the experience of how delicious it truly is can only be experienced firsthand. Many of these places have other fruits as well as strawberries, so have a blast and don’t forget to save room for dinner.

You can beat that crisp crunch of an apple or juicy bite of a peach. You’ll have pie and crisps for days after a visit to these fun locations.

4 Tips for a Visiting a U Pick Fruit Farm
1. Call ahead for up to date times and availability.
2. Bring your own basket/wagon if needed. Check with each location as things often change.
3. Bring cash just to be safe. Some places accept credit cards, but many do not.
4. Wear appropriate clothing. Example: If strawberry picking, you’ll be kneeling and walking through mud.
