Fall means Pumpkin Picking Time and We’re Ready for it!
Pumpkin picking at a pumpkin patch is a right of passage into the fall season in Michigan. It’s our way of telling ourselves, “it’s ok. The weather getting colder is fun, remember?”
Kids love to pick out the perfect pumpkin, especially if they have a certain shape in mind for their jack-o-lantern. Plus who doesn’t love getting out in the fresh air and walking through a sea of orange?

Pumpkin picking in Lansing is a fun family traditional that is on many people’s fall bucket list. Each location on our list has its own unique charm, giving you the option of choosing the experience that’s right for your family. Some are big, some are small, some offer U Pick, and some have taken them off the vine for you.
If you’re anything like me, you’ll want to visit a new one each year to spice things up!
Bonus: many of these pumpkin patches offer fun activities like corn mazes, cider, donuts, a wide selection of gourds, and much more.
